Meet the Founder

Hello everyone! My name is Miwa and I am from Osaka, Japan. My interest in studying abroad goes back to when I was about 5 or 6 years old. The town where I grew up had a university with many  of international students. Every time I saw foreign students on the street, at the train station, or in the supermarket, I so much wanted to talk to them because they looked so different from me and that was fascinating! I did not speak English or any other languages than Japanese. My family is middle-class with no international background, and there was no internet back then, so I could not get much information about the world.

However, even with very limited resources and budget, after the middle school, I still managed to enroll myself in a small high school in the U.S. After countless tears from culture shock in various ways, I survived and very fortunately was able to stay in the country for university, graduate school and to begin my professional career. And one thing led to another and, since 2003, I have been living and working in Belgium.

I founded EN EuroEducation to provide college and university guidance services, and also to increase the awareness of the option to study in Europe. Throughout my international education career, I’ve met a lot of students who needed guidance. Even though all kinds of resources are available online nowadays, customized and personalized guidance counselling can help students find the best-fit university where they can learn what they want at the cost they can afford.

Where there is a will, there is a way

You should not give up on your dream to study abroad because you don’t have the right information, you don’t have the money, or because you are not sure if you have what it takes to live and study in a foreign country.  Experiencing the world is a great way to maximize your potential as a citizen of the world and also to enjoy life. Of course, you have to work hard, but we can support you through this process and help you set your goals, and ultimately design your own future!

Luck is where preparation meets opportunity

“EN” means the opportunity to encounter someone or something that makes a huge impact in your life. Unfortunately EN cannot be purchased or obtained by doing something or going somewhere. It is genuinely the luck. However, EN is actually presented to everyone. It comes and goes. You just have to be ready and grab it when it is presented to you. If you are not ready, then EN will pass you by. I chose this name because I strongly believe that “EN” is the key element for success and happiness. I’m here to help you be ready, and I hope that you embrace all kinds of “EN” presented in your life.

Sincerely yours,

Miwa Kitamura
